Good Luck

This has been a good Monday. One of the best I have had for a while. The sun was out, which I haven't seen for a few days. Though the breeze was brisk, I could still lift my face and feel the yellow on my eyelids. And thats all I need.

I met up with some new friends today. Jose and Scott. And they were kind enough to let me bombard on their Monday. That is where I realized that my Good Luck Monday was beginning. They took me to go see "Shutter Island". Which was nothing what I thought it was going to be, which is good. Because I didn't think very highly of it.

Afterwards, we went off, goofing around and running errands. I had a tasty dirty chai I met a fantastic character with a cuddly accessory. A small girl (and by small I mean short, not necessarily young. Which, I guess she was young. But no child. Perhaps about 18.) She seemed to know everyone at the cafe well. And tucked under her arm was Marius. The Cat. He seemed just fine as everyone was walking around. He just hung out while she chatted with us and as she bummed a cigarette from an old friend. I felt lucky to meet such a character.

As we went about our errands I got a phone call. From Ann Taylor. If any of you know, the company I work for is not in its best state. As the stress is pressing down on my harder and harder, the panic starts to set in. But today, in-between a eclectic shop full of risque paper cards and books full of random facts that everyone should know, but not so important, I got a phone call. A young lady asking me what time would be best to come in for an interview. I just hope that she does call back tomorrow, with an official time. What good LUCK!

Our adventures of today took us to the SLC library where we hopped a few fences and climbed the stairs to the tall roof. There we stood. And looked out over the city. For the first time in a long time the wind blew the smug away, leaving cold but clear skies. Something about the city brings peace to my heart.

Afterwards, the boys spoiled me with some fantastic sushi from one of my favorite restaurants, "I <3 Sushi" (appropriately named.) Scott was daring enough to try one of my favorite dishes Uni Shooter. And then followed by a Hollywood Roll and a Spider Roll.

Full and happy we walked back to our car when Scott finds something in his shoe. He stops, pulls it out of his sole, and squints to see what it is. It is a gold bow. MY gold bow! My earring that I had just worn once! How lucky is it that she should happen to step on it, and find it. That I wouldn't just leave it on the city street! What luck I have had today! I feel so blessed. But at the same time I fear. For what if I used up all of my luck today, and have none left for tomorrow! What will tomorrow bring?! I will let you know.
